7/16 Member Meet-Up: Historical Walking Tour of Seabright’s Changing Coast
From the Boardwalk to Seabright Beach, Santa Cruz’s river mouth region has seen many changes since it first became a tourist hotspot in in the mid-1800s. Join Kathleen Aston and Marisa Gomez from the Santa Cruz Museum of Natural History for a historic walking tour examining cultural, natural, and geo-engineered changes to the river mouth region — from bathhouses to coastal erosion, and the Scholl Marr Castle to climate change.

Space is limited and open to Members. We welcome you to join as a Member and attend this program.
Please wear sun protection, comfortable shoes, and bring any water or snacks you might need. For those who wish not to stand/walk for long periods of time, portable chairs/stools are recommended.
We will walk for up to two miles, mostly along sidewalks, but briefly on sand.
