What does it mean to become a Member of the Museum?  Members’ dues help support Museum programs and further our Mission to Connect People with Nature and Inspire Stewardship of the Natural World. Our programs include gathering, preserving and promoting natural history collections; offering both guided museum tours and hands-on environmental science education in local wild lands for school groups; providing lectures and classes for lifelong learners with world-class speakers, researchers, and artists; year-round families in nature events; offering environmentally-based summer camps; and presenting dynamic, special natural history exhibits throughout the year.  Join today!

Donate

A gift or donation to the Museum provides important support for our natural history collections, exhibits, and education programs. Supporters of the Museum help us gather, preserve, and promote the natural history heritage of our region. The Museum uses our valuable collections to Connect People with Nature and Inspire Stewardship of the Natural World. Gifts to the Museum insure we continue to provide high-quality interpretative programs to visiting school children and the public and offer outstanding permanent and temporary exhibits. Expert speakers, nature tours, and demonstrations support our goals of engaging with Nature, understanding human impact on the local and global environment, and supporting natural history inquiry and discovery. We work to inspire the next generation of world ecological citizens. Donate today!

Planned Giving

As a member of the Lightkeeper Society, your planned gift will help ensure the sustainability of the Museum for generations to come. Since 1905, the Santa Cruz Museum of Natural History (tax ID 94-2427733) has served Santa Cruzans who have participated in the Museum’s programs and exhibits. Your planned gifts can help us ensure that future generations of Museum goers will learn about science, and how it affects our everyday lives and the sustainability of our region.
