Give the gift of nature! Join the Santa Cruz Museum of Natural History for a free and festive weekend celebrating the changing of the seasons. Come enjoy complimentary cookies and cider while you find the perfect gift for your nature-loving friends and family.

Enjoy free admission all weekend long!
Friday, December 6, 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Saturday, December 7 and Sunday, December 8, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

First Friday, 5-7 p.m.

Create nature-inspired gifts and enjoy festive treats and drinks. Local artists Emily Scott and Linnea Gullikson will lead a printmaking station where guests can choose and print a handmade linocut image of endangered species to adorn a greeting card. The Museum will host additional craft and gift-making stations, including nest necklaces. Learn more.

Holiday Sale

Find the perfect nature-themed gift in the Museum Store. Choose from natural history books and field guides, nature ornaments, educational toys, works produced by local artists, and books on local fossils and geology found nowhere else! items will be 10% off for the public, and 15% or 20% off for Museum Members (discounts may not apply to consignment and clearance items).

Crafts

Drop-in all weekend long and take part in nature-inspired crafts from pressed-plant cards to wreaths made with local foliage.
